RYA Safety Boat Course

For sailing clubs and teaching establishments, this course is designed to introduce the techniques used in powerboats to provide safety cover or assisting with race management.

During the weekend, sessions covering boat handling techniques will be combined with practical instruction in recovering and towing capsized dinghies and cats, windsurfers and disabled powerboats. Shore-based sessions will include the suitability of craft, safety, communications systems and rescuing other water-users.

Pre-course experience: You must already hold the National Powerboat certificate (L2)
