This advanced powerboat training course provides you with the skills and background knowledge to operate safely in more demanding coastal waters. The weekend focuses on boat handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation up to the standards required to handle a powerboat safely in rough conditions or in darkness.
Assumed knowledge: You should already hold the Powerboat Level 2 award, with a knowledge of navigation and chartwork to RYA Day Skipper standard. In addition, it’s strongly recommended that you hold a first aid certificate and radio operator’s licence.
